“Hazy Daisey”

This photo was taken on a camping trip at the Au Sable River. A friend and myself were camped up along the river from the night before, and I happened to see this lone flower in the morning. Surrounded by dew covered grass, I thought it would be an interesting subject with the river as the backdrop.

Our time on the trip was cut short as gunfire rang out after sundown, just beyond the trees from where our tents were set up. We were as alone as this wildflower at the campsite, so for safety we packed as quickly as we could and left.

The name came from my lovely wife who, without hesitation, named the photo exactly from what she saw. It’s slightly hazy, and while I don’t know if this is a daisy, it rhymed with hazy. So there you have it.
